We had fun; we saw lots of pretty art, watched some terrible, terrible movies (okay, I didn't actually sit through all of any of the movies), and ate lots of pizza. The highlight for me, though, was seeing David Malki ! - the creator of Wondermark. He sells awesome cards, and my original plan was to buy a bunch of Christmas cards and get him to sign them. Then I could sign them next to his signature and send them to people I haven't seen in a while and maybe they would believe that I married him! I didn't end up doing that; I did, however, buy some thank you cards, a Wondermark anthology, and this t-shirt. He signed the book "To my 2nd wife Elizabeth", so I am happy even without the jointly-signed Christmas cards.

Geeky to the max
I was just at Stumptown Comicfest with Sara, Ian,
kate_fire and
lil_termagant. Is there anything at all that's geekier than posting a blog entry about a comic convention?
